Driver Info & Rules

All competitors must meet the following requirements before participating in a Goldfields Burnouts event.

Requirement
1Entry & Waiver
All competitors must complete the required competitor entry form and waiver before participating.
2Drivers licence
A current driver licence is required. Provisional or full licence holders accepted where permitted under the event regulations.
3Clothing & Safety Gear
Drivers must wear long-sleeved shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes, an approved helmet, and keep their seatbelt on while on the burnout pad.
4Vehicle Requirements
  • Working throttle return
  • Secure battery
  • No fuel, oil or coolant leaks
  • Secure fuel system
  • Radiator overflow / catch bottle
  • Wheel weights removed or securely taped
  • Seatbelts in working condition
  • No loose items inside the vehicle
5Burnout Pad Rules
  • Maximum 10km/h outside the burnout pad / infield area
  • No static burnouts
  • No reversing on the pad unless instructed by an official
  • Vehicle must remain on the designated burnout surface
  • Follow officials' directions at all times
  • Stop immediately if directed by an official
  • Unsafe driving may result in removal from the event
6Scrutineering
Every vehicle is inspected before participating. Passing scrutineering does not remove the driver's responsibility to ensure their vehicle remains safe throughout the event.
7Mechanical failure / fire
If your vehicle develops a mechanical problem, fire, fuel leak or other safety issue, stop immediately and follow officials' instructions.

⚠ IMPORTANT

Failure to comply with event rules, safety requirements or directions from officials may result in the competitor being removed from the burnout pad or disqualified from the event.
